He received numerous small school basketball offers but declined in order to play Division 1 Football for the Sooner Nation at the University of Oklahoma where he was a starting Wide Receiver. As a junior in college, Ahmed decided to make a leap and transfer to TCU in Fort Worth, Tx. After only one season, Ahmed decided it was time to hang up his cleats for a year, taking some time to find himself as a young man. In 2001, Ahmed decided to give football one last shot and finished his playing career at the Northwestern Oklahoma State University (Go Rangers!).
Ahmed was also a State runner up in track and field where he ran the 400(46.4), 200(21.6), & 100yards dash(10.4).
He has worked with and learned from some of the most elite coaches and has coached at top camps around the country that have been ranked as one of the top 2 camps in the country by SportsIllustrated Kids. Ahmed prides himself on giving back every way that he can through coaching and his philanthropic work with Pros ForAfrica and Inner Circle Basketball.
